“Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.”
Matthew 13:43
When our burdens are great and the fires of persecution’s burn hot, look ahead to the glorious kingdom reign with Christ. Those who suffer with Him shall also be glorified with Him.

“I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.”
John 17:4
God has given each believer a work to do, He has given us a definite purpose in our lives. When that is done we will have accomplished our work on this earth for Him. God will reward that faithful servant and when called home will give him or her a rich reward in heaven.

“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”
Proverbs 15:3
Isn’t it nice to know that amongst all the turmoil and confusion of life that the eyes of the Lord are in every place. He sees the evil and the good. He is not slack, His hand will deliver His own and His justice will condemn and judge the evil. The evil seem to thrive in this world and the good seem to lose. However, there is a judgment day coming in which all those who reject Him will stand before the Great White Throne. It will not be a day with lawyers and plea agreements. But a day of reckoning to those who have rejected His authority. For them it will be the “Lake of Fire” for all eternity. May we live our lives understanding and living our lives in control of His will, perhaps winning some from the horrible day of judgment that is to come.

“Behold I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.”
Ezekiel 34:11
The Lord knows who His sheep are. They belong to Him and He will seek them out and separate them unto Himself. You are precious to God, He loves you, and He will keep you.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
John 10: 27-28.
“The Lord God is my strength and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”

Habakkuk. 3:9
Are you discouraged and ready to give up? Are you in despair? Are the burdens of the Corina virus, the election, and the burdens of life more than you can bear? We have one we can turn to, one we can talk to…JESUS! Tell Jesus your burdens and cares, your fears and the overwhelming issues of your heart. He knows our every thought, He knows all about us and cares for us. Give Him your burdens and fears. Place your faith and trust in Him for there is no other that can give peace, not the peace of the world, but His peace. We need not quit or give up, for He will strengthen the feeble hands and heart. He over came the world and in Him we can win the victory.
“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord.”
Proverbs 21:31
We can do all that is possible for safety, but safety is of the Lord! He is our protector, provider, our guide and our salvation. Praise His holy name!

“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37;5
We face the future, 2021 is ahead of us and we need not fear. Why? Because our days, our lives our future are all in His hands. We must trust in the Lord for we have nothing to fear. God has a plan for each of our lives, He will guide us, He will lead us and He will strengthen us. Nothing can come into the lives of a believer without His permission.

“For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded.”
Isaiah 50:7
As Christians we cannot fail! For if God be for us, who can be against us? God loves us and cares for us! There is nothing impossible with God, He will always do what is best for us. If we put our trust in the Lord we will never be disappointed.
January 2nd.
“Be strong and of good courage.”
Joshua 1:6
The battle is not won by the weak and the cowardly; it is won by those that have a faith that works. Defeat is giving up; and victory is refusing to give in. Trials test our faith and courage, but that which come easy is not worth having.
January 1st, 2020
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.”
Psalm 19:14
Only God Knows the Future
On the morning of January 1, 1892, Spurgeon confessed, “We know nothing of the events which lie before us: of life or death to ourselves or to our friends, or of changes of position, or of sickness or health.”
Spurgeon didn’t see much of 1892, he put his trust in the fact that God knows the future. This truth blessed him and made him dependent on God in all things.
Whatever is before us in 2021, let’s rest in God’s sovereignty, lean fully on God’s guidance, rely on God’s strength, and live for God’s glory. As Spurgeon said:
“Throughout this year may the Lord be with you! Amen.”

“God is my strength and power: and He maketh my way perfect.”
II Samuel 22:33
How are you feeling as 2020 is nearly behind us? Are you feeling weak, confused, trembling as you face the future? Take courage for your strength is in Christ. Christ cannot fail, so our future is secure for He dwells in you, believers in Christ.

“I saw a new heaven and a new earth.”
Revelation 21:1
How easy it is to get attached to the things of earth t, our homes, our jobs, our wealth, sports, hobbies, our careers or a multitude of other things. For they will soon pass away, they will slip from our grasps forever. God has a better plan, a new heaven and a new earth. This earth and heaven will be made new, fresh, sinless, made for those who will inherit it, those who have placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator and Sustainer of all that there is. Lookup for our salvation draweth nigh!
December 29th
“He hath made us accepted in the beloved.”
Ephesians 1:6
It is only in Christ that we are accepted by God the Father. Without Christ we could never reach God. For Christ came to earth to show the way. For He is “The Way”, “The Truth” and “The Life”, there is life in none other.
December 28th
“I am the Lord, that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another.”
Isa. 42:8
Where have we put Christ in our lives? Is He on the back burner, is He only our co-pilot? What is His rightful place in the heart of a believer? Is it not to reign supreme in our lives? Perhaps we are asking Him to share His position and glory with us. This He will not do! Christ either rules in our lives or we rule in our lives. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and His glory as Isaiah has said, “He will not share His glory with another.” Let Christ rule our lives, let us obey His rule for He is merciful and loving and knows the beginning from the end.
December 27th
“For the LORD himself will come down from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
I Thess. 4:16
This will be the next great event in the history of mankind when the LORD of all the earth shall call His own to Himself. Christ came the first time born of a virgin in love to offer salvation to all mankind. When He comes from heaven with the command of a trumpet He will call those who accepted His offer of salvation to be with Him and for Him to be exalted.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13
“Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.”
(II Corinthians 9:15)
Yesterday gifts were given and received. Did you receive the gift you were looking for or were you disappointed? There is no gift that can compare to the gift of God’s dear Son. He came to save our soul and to dwell in our hearts. He is the perfect gift; one can never be disappointed in Him. Thank Him for salvation, forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Trust Him, believe in Him, give thanks unto Him and worship Him for He is the only reason for the Christmas season.
December 25th
“When the fulness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman.”
Galatians 4:4
Today is the birthday of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. His birth was the most marvelous thing that ever happened. His birth marked a milestone in the history of mankind. It marked hope for us. This babe born in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago changed all of creation and it was because of His love for us. He made available to us eternal life, salvation from sin, a sure hope of heaven, a hope of future resurrection, hope of a changed life and so many other things. We should rejoice and be glad, for this marked a wonderful beginning for those who place their faith in Him and a determined end for those who reject this so perfect and magnificent love.
December 24th
“Behold I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.”
(Luke 2:10).
The Christmas season should be a season of Joy. You say joy this year with the Covid running ramped. Yes, Joy! Because Joy is dependent on Hope! We have hope, for when we placed our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ our guilt and sin were taken away, as far as the East is from the West. You cannot experience true joy until the true meaning of Christmas is yours—Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ!
